London School of Economics - ESS: The London School of Economics is one of the most prestigious learning institutes in the world, which has attracted over 9,000 full time students from over 140 different countries. King's College London - Business Club: Combining many different schools of study, King's College in the heart of London was voted university of the year 2010-2011 by the Sunday Times. Clean Technology Challenge - London Business School (LBS) and University College London (UCL): Since 2009, London Business School (LBS) and University College London (UCL) have hosted the Clean Technology Challenge. The CleanTech Challenge is a business plan competition that helps students form teams and develop their clean technology business ideas through a 3-stage competition. Participants receive guidance, feedback and mentorship from industry professionals throughout the competition. CleanTech represents a diverse range of products, services, and processes, including but extending well beyond renewable energy, with it defined as "any business that has a significant and positive environmental impact." StartUp Britain - Confessions Of A StartUp: StartUp Britain has teamed up with Viking, leading supplier to small businesses, to present Confessions of a StartUp – a unique opportunity to help us record the challenges and the buzz of starting a business in 2013, with the chance to win a prize package worth more than £5K. The final five will get to film the highs and the challenges of starting up a fledging business over 50 days. University of Sussex - Start Up Sussex: The University of Sussex encourages and supports entrepreneurship through its StartUp Sussex programme. Here students and recent graduates can participate in a range of events including ‘ I might.. have an idea for a business..’- an introduction to business models facilitated by Innovation consultants, and a termly competition where budding entrepreneurs can pitch their ideas and win up to £2,000 and mentoring support. In the last round we had ten winners! StartUp Sussex is the result of a collaboration between the Careers and Employability Centre and Sussex Innovation Centre, based on campus. De Montfort University - Business Venture Competition: Campus Enterprise Opportunities Business Venture Competition (BVC) is the perfect opportunity for any DMU student, staff member or graduate to turn their business ideas into reality. The competition is for any type of business idea and Campus Enterprise Opportunities will help and support students through every stage of the competition. There are 3 award categories which each offer a cash prize and business support. National University Entrepreneur – NUE2012: The Training Gateway, National Centre for Entrepreneurship in Education (NCEE) and UK Trade and Investment are running a national entrepreneurs competition for UK Universities to participate in. The competition enables each university the chance to submit two business plans highlighting innovative ideas, which have been inspired by the opportunities created through the 2012 Olympics. University of Portsmouth – Portsmouth Centre for Enterprise: The University of Portsmouth offers over 240 relevant undergraduate courses to choose from and has a fantastic reputation amongst students for overall satisfaction. The university has developed; Portsmouth Centre for Enterprise (PCE), which offers regular competitions amongst other activities, to encourage entrepreneurship within students. UEL is a leader in the field of distance learning and also entrepreneurship. The university runs a competition called E-factor, which Marketest have been fortunate enough to support this year. University of Gloucestershire – Centre for Enterprise and Innovation : The University of Gloucestershire does not only have a multitude of different degree courses but is also one of the leading sustainable universities in the UK. Kingston Universtity - West Focus: Kingston University has over 100 years of history and offers fantastic opportunities for student’s development all around the world. The West Focus group was recently created to help students become more enterprising in their approach to learning. Royal Agricultural College – RACE : The Royal Agricultural College is extremely prestigious and has an astonishing history dating back to 1842.
