Items Exchange Website Concept

With the recession some old customs become popular again. Let’s bring back the barter.

This concept is about a website that helps to exchange items that you own for items other people own.

You set up a profile which includes;

  • General location (E.G. London)
  • A detailed list of items you have to exchange (you value the item(s))
  • A list of items that you are looking for
  • Rating from others on the website (Similar to eBay seller reviews)

There are several ways or searching for items;

  • product categories/criteria
  • product name
  • value of a product

Products can then be exchanged between users or bought for their monetary value.

You can look for items that you want and contact owners as you can look for members that have items that you want to exchange your items for.

Arrangements can also be done between members that want to exchange two products that don’t have the same value: accepting the exchange even if they value differently, exchanging 2 products for one, paying for the difference, etc.

People can then meet to exchange their products or send them by post.

This is economic (getting things out of unwanted things you own) and ecologic (you through less products away)
